We stayed in the lodge Pinemarten for a week in May 2015. The lodge was very clean and very cosy. The weather wasn’t great but the surroundings and view were beautiful. We had a great week and enjoyed the wildlife
around the lodge very much. We saw deer, pinemartens and a lot of different birds. We could have sat and look out of the window the whole day. The pinemarten came to visit us every night. We left some bread with jam out on the decking. The view was breathtaking. Sometimes it changed nearly every minute. Sharon and Ian were very nice and friendly. We played golf on Dragons Tooth twice and enjoyed it very much. The people there were so nice. The Glencoe visiting center is very infomative and you get wonderful views of the glen. We walked to Signal Rock and walked on to the Clachaig Inn and had lunch there. a very nice place. We had dinner at the Seafood Café. Very good! The surroundings in Glencoe are so beautiful. We will definitely be back and will be staying in one of Loch Leven Holiday Lodges again. A perfect place!

So we have just returned from Loch leven chalets and can honestly say we have had an amazing time, perfect get away with the feller and dog. We stayed in the stag chalet, one of two where dogs are welcome and was perfect For us. Our cocker spaniel settled in very well after a lively walk along the loch. Sharon and Ian greeted us upon arrival, very welcoming and nothing seemed to much to ask, even a spare tin opener was promptly replaced:) the laundy room is a little gem to, especially after 3 days of solid rain and wet boots and socks. Our week here was fantastic with the views over looking the loch and mountains taking our breath every morning, Lovely warm chalet and cosy bed. Couldn’t thank them enough.
Upon returning home I’ve remembered I left my shoes in the wardrobe and they have been very kind to send me them through the post very quickly to respond to an email I sent them. We
Shall defiantly be returning with the dog at some point. Couldn’t rate this place any higher. Perfect, calm and relaxing.

We had a great week at Loch Leven Chalets near Fort William. The chalet itself provided a very comfortable, clean and warm base for our travels and walks around Glencoe, The Caingorms, numerous lochs and interesting towns and villages. Highlights included a rail journey from Fort William to Mallaig which was truly wonderful. We took the scheduled Scot Rail Train which included free fares for our two dogs which was a bonus.
The Ben Nevis Gondola provided fantastic panoramic views, as did the ski lift at the Glencoe Resort.
Ferry rides around the lochs and some fantastic walks captured all of the spirit of the Highlands.
A tremendous highlight was watching two Golden Eagles soaring above us in the Caingorms.
Closer to home, being a bit of a sceptic, the reviews said we might see deer and even a pinemartin in the region of our chalet…oh yeah!
But we did!! Two adult deer with a youngster grazed happily around the chalets, with the young one arriving on its own one morning for around half an hour.
The pinemartin arrived on our balcony immediately outside the large sliding doors around 12.30 am creating a desperate rush for cameras and mobile phones to capture the moment. It happily grazed on the tit bits we had left for it. A Result!!
It returned the following evening and was totally unperturbed by our lights and noses pressed up against the window. It ate for around 20 minutes before disappearing into the night….Marvellous.
We wanted a nice break in Scotland….it was a great break in Scotland. One of moments to remember and treasure.
Go to Loch Leven Chalets and see for yourself…you will not be disappointed. It really is a hidden gem.
