With Spring well and truly under way, its been lovely to greet guests from all over the world, who have remarked on the varied weather of Scotland! Last week it was cold and wet and at the beginning of May we were driving through snow on Ranch Moor. This week it is bright blue skies and 25 degrees!!! Many Europeans are going home with a sun tan who were expecting to be living in waterproofs all week.
We are so lucky to get some fantastic reviews on Trip advisor https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g186545-d3974804-Reviews-Loch_Leven_Chalets-Fort_William_Lochaber_Scottish_Highlands_Scotland.html Many thanks to all our guests who take the time to write a review, we really appreciate all your lovely comments!
A wonderfull place for holidays, the chalet was quiet, warm and cozy. The owners are very friendly. The loch is surrounded by gorgeous landscapes. There are a lot of possibilities for walks near the loch (for young children we recommend the forest walks of Glencoe).
We’ve stayed here several times such is the appeal of the accommodation and the location. Ian and Sharon offer a great welcome. The accomodation is very comfy, cosy and well kitted out. We’ll be back next year! Highly recommended!
Loch Leven Chalets are situated in an unbelievably beautiful location and the views from the chalets are fantastic. The proprietors, Ian and Sharon, make you feel at home and are always around if help or advice is needed. The chalets themselves are roomy, comfortable and warm with plenty of storage space. Equipment for the kitchen is more than adequate and local shops in Ballachulish and Fort William will keep you well supplied for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect for plenty of grand tours amid plenty of stunning scenery. Glencoe, Ben Nevis, Glenfinnan, Oban and the Great Glen are all within easy driving distance and there are plenty of quiet places for those who just want to relax and let the best of Scotland wash over them. The chalets are in a quiet location just off the beaten track so are great just to bum around in for a bit of relaxation. Thanks to Ian and Sharon for making our third stay a brilliant success. We’ll be back!!!
We had a busy 2 weeks with the Pre-65 and Scottish Six Day Trials, the are was awash with bikes and the atmosphere was great as usual. Well done to Dougie Lampkin who won the Scottish Six Day Trials for the 10th year and local Kinlochleven rider Gary MacDonald ending the week as the highest placed Scottish rider, it was another successful trial.
