Our first trip to Scotland from U.S. – rented a car in Glasgow and made the drive to this Wonderful Spot. Like all the other reviews the hosts are very welcoming. They can provide excellent tips for traveling in the area. We took them up on a few and they were spot on. This place was centrally located for exploring the area. Excellent Seafood restaurant just up the road. I think if you look up ” Home away from Home” in the dictionary you should see Loch Leven Chalets there :)

My wife & I arrived to a very warm welcome from Ian, who along with his wife Sharon are in my opinion the perfect hosts. As a semi professional photographer this place has everything you could ask for. Its a great base for Glencoe, Loch Leven ( fantastic reflection shots first thing in the morning), Isle of Mull via the Connel ferry (quite a saving on fares from Oban). We spent 2 days on the Isle of Skye ( Sea eagal shots from the boat trips from Portree WOW !!! The chalets are well appointed and spotlessly clean with all the mod cons you could wish for. Opening the curtains of the patio doors is like turning on the day in HD & watching nature watch & to top it all every night a Pine Martin brought his family to relieve us of our stocks of jam & bread & chocolate Hobnobs. One even popped its head in to say hello. We are booking for next year, Can’t wait.

My wife Susan and I spent another week at the chalets from Sat 30th Aug to Sat 6th Sept 2014. We were there the same week last year per our review of that and this time we again had a terrific holiday. As before the cabin was very comfortable and well equipped and the location and view stunning. As before – and as always I suspect – the owners Ian and Sharon could not be more friendly and welcoming whilst working very hard to maintain an exceptional holiday venue.
