Site for Sale
Posted on 26th February, 2020
Well what a wet and windy start to the year its been, with storm after storm. Just when we think we’ll have a good snow covering it gets washed away. Although the last couple of days has seen dry in temperature and plenty of snow on the hills now.
The Nevis Range www.nevisrange.co.uk in Fort William and Glencoe Mountain www.glencoemountain.com are now in full swing for some skiing!
A great day out on the slopes for beginners or experienced skiers, even a trip up to the cafe for a nice cup of hot chocolate and to admire the views is always a good day out. Some pictures taken last week (on one of the few bright days) coming over Rannoch Moor and Glencoe.
If you are planning on going on the hills to walk or climb instead of ski, it may be worthwhile visiting the Clachaig Inn and listening to one of their Winter Safety Lectures www.clachaig.com
As some of you will already know we have put Loch Leven Chalets and our house up for sale. It’s early days but we’ve already had several people viewing, so we’ll see what the next few months bring. We want to assure everyone we are still taking bookings and things are running as normal, we hope it will be a smooth transition when the new people do take over! We are not going far and still plan to rent out Tiranui Cottage & Lodge.
We really appreciate all the lovely guests we have had staying over the 17.5 years we have been here and hope to see many of you in the future.
So we have still been working hard to get the site all ready for the new season, with various jobs to do it is always a busy time. Lots of deep cleaning, painting & freshening!!
After the storms we have a few roofs to repair (just a few slates to replace), some new fence panels to put up and an outbuilding roof to replace!! We also hope to put a balcony on Tiranui Lodge, so our guests can enjoy the spectacular views even more!
Talking of special views these pictures show the sunset last weekend, what amazing colours!!
If you are not getting away this half term perhaps you are thinking about a break at Easter! Hopefully the weather will be a bit warmer and the days definitely longer! Give us a ring or email for availability, short breaks may be available. There is always loads going on in the area, great walks, Easter Egg hunts and entertainment. Have a look at the National Trust website for some ideas http://www.nts.org.uk
